Culloden House Hotel

New Year Breaks at Culloden

Culloden House is a handsome Georgian Country House with centuries of hospitality to recommend it. Around 1730 Captain Edmund Burt wrote in his "Letters from a Gentleman in the North of Scotland", "There lives in our neighbourhood at a house or castle called Culloden, a gentleman whose hospitality is almost without bounds... where a hogshead of fine claret is kept in the hall, so that guests or even passers-by could refresh themselves with a pint of claret!" Tradition was that any guest who so availed himself of such wonderful hospitality did not go home the same night. Culloden House is still carrying on that historic tradition 300 years later!

The Package begins on the 30th December and is a three night, resident only, package including all dinners, accommodation and full Scottish breakfast each day. There is an extensive wine and single malt list from which to chose.

Entertainment throughout the holiday includes Celtic harp music, Scottish folk dancers and singers, a Ceilidh band, our own resident Jacobite ghost, and a glass of Champagne and a piper to pipe in the New Year.

Gentlemen & Ladies are reminded that on Hogmanay, black tie and evening gown are "de riruer" for the celebrations. If you have a definite Scottish connection, Highland dress with plaid if applicable for the men and evening gown with tartan sash for the women. The plaid is worn on the right shoulder, unless you are a clan chieftain or noble, then it should be worn on the left shoulder.

The New Year three-night package prices are as follows:

Accommodation Price
Single Room £495.00 per person
Standard Room £495.00 per person
Superior Room 595.00 per person
Garden Mansion Junior Suite 595.00 per person
Four Poster Room 595.00 per person
Superior Suites, Four Poster Suite and Deluxe Princess Rooms £700.00 per person
Third Person Supplement £495.00 per person

All prices (unless stated otherwise) are based on two people sharing and include accommodation, breakfast, dinner, entertainment and VAT at prevailing rate.

Garden Mansion Junior Suites are separate to the main house and a short walk is required (Approx. 150 yards).

Unfortunately, the house does not have any disabled facilities and is not suitable for children under 12 years old. A 10%% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking to secure your reservation, with the remainder of the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Culloden House operates a 28 day cancellation policy and should you cancel within the 28 days prior to your arrival a charge of 50%% of the total booking price will be charged unless accommodation can be re-let.

Culloden House strongly advises that you take out Travel Insurance and reminds you that in booking you are entering into a legally binding contract and agree with all the terms and conditions as stated above.
